The Belfast Royal Academy Luncheon Club was formed some 10 years ago after an informal  lunch by a number of past-Presidents at Malone Golf Club in December 2007.

The first official meeting was held in January 2008 at the Knock Golf Club. Some 19 founder members were present.

The Luncheon Club meets monthly, with the exception of July, and takes place on 10 occasions at various locations in the Greater Belfast area, mainly Golf Clubs. The eleventh event is the August meeting which normally takes place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club.

Each event is hosted by a member of the venue Club and normally takes the form of a main course (selected from a choice) and tea or coffee. The Christmas event, held in December at the Knock Golf Club, tends to be a more formal occasion with a more comprehensive menu.

The Luncheon Club presents an opportunity to meet up with friends, (current and long-lost), make or renew acquaintances and catch up on news of career paths, developments in the intervening years etc and discuss current affairs.

These meeting commence at 12.30 and are informal. They are restricted to Old Boys and former masters who have had links with the Association.

The Luncheon Club has grown in popularity over the years and is now a well-established part of the Belfast Royal Academy Old Boys' Association.
